GETTING TO/STAYING IN TROY
If you are not local to the area: the closest airport is Albany, NY - and Troy is about a 15 minute drive from there. Occaisionally people will combine the trip with a NYC visit - which you can take Amtrak from Penn Station to Albany-Rensselaer and the drive to Troy is about the same. Uber and Lyft are available, but if you want to take advantage of the upstate region, I recommend renting a car - rideshares can add up quickly. There is plenty of street parking by the studio.
We are located on the border of downtown - if you are staying overnight, many people have success with AirBnb’s near Downtown Troy (I always recommend this one if you want an inexpensive vibe and it’s available) where there are more walkable things to do. Otherwise, the Troy/Waterfront Courtyard Marriott is the standard hotel I would choose, or Gardner Farm Inn B&B. If you have any other logistical questions, I’m happy to answer them!
